Greetings in the name of our Lord,
We, at St. Augustine's, are very proud of our church and the worship, outreach, spiritual formation and fellowship opportunities that God has blessed us with. We are blessed with an ideal location, adjacent to the Memorial University, in the midst of both an established neighbourhood and major new subdivisions on Kenmount Rd and Thorburn Ave. We are very close to both the major hospital of the province as well as the House of Assembly. Our ministry and worship reflects the needs of the neighbourhood as well as the needs of the milieu that we are situated in.
Our Church is a very modern building (built in 1968) and reflects the vision its founders had for the ministry of our church. Our congregation numbers around 1000 people, from infants to members in their nineties and is active in many aspects of congregational and diocesan life.
We have numerous ministry opportunities for lay and clergy involvement here at St. Augustine's, including membership in the ladies group (the ACW - which meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month), and the men's group (the Men's Service Club - which meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month), the CLB (one of our youth organizations - which meets every Wednesday night), the Sunday School (both as teachers, helpers and students), choir members, servers, readers, prayers (prayers for the people), greeters, sides people, and numerous and exciting program committee (outreach) positions (as listed under 'Programs' in this web site).
We would be delighted to have you come and join us for worship, to sense God's presence in our worship, to partake in our fellowship and join us in our ministry in this part of God's Vineyard.
