St. Augustine's utilizes a number of committees and groups within the parish to address and meet the needs of our parishioners, our community, and our world. God has given special gifts and talents to each of us, and we invite others who feel a calling to a particular ministry to offer themselves to these committees as a partner in our spiritual journey and congregational development.

Marriage Preparation - St. Augustine's offers a Marriage Preparation course intended to deepen the love you share and lead you to a stronger relationship with each other that will evolve into a truly blessed marriage. Social action/Outreach Committee - helps to initiate and promote such outreach programs as PWRDF, Habitat for Humanity, and identifies other forms of outreach that our church may wish to pursue, meanwhile keeping the parish informed of ongoing activities.

Worship Committee - works collaboratively with the Rector in planning services throughout the year. Responsible for assigning readers, prayers, and gift-bearers for each service.

Church Music Committee - helps select new and old music for use in the Church services. Also helps in seeking to increase the pool of musical talent that is used within the worship and fellowship life of the Church.

Fellowship Committee - looks after helping to sponsor, promote, and organize fellowship times for our church such as: Parish Family Fun Nights, Couples Nights, Seniors Nights, Fellowship times after services, Movie Nights, Hymn Sings, Caroling, etc.

Youth Group Committee - has oversight for any youth programs that our church wants to pursue. Helps in advertising/promotion, recruitment of leaders, brainstorming for ideas, etc.

Bulletin Board Ministries - responsible for updating the bulletin boards of the church, keeping them relevant, attractive and educational.

Special Events Committee - Helps to coordinate special events services within our church, such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Rogation Day, Rememberance Day, Easter, Christmas Pageant, Religious Plays, etc. Also responsible for coordinating the decorating of the Church for each occasion, season and service in consultation with the rector.

Parishioner Support Committee - Helps to explore ways and means by which our church can help those grieving the loss of a spouse, the loss of a child, the break-up of a marriage, etc.

Community Outreach - Seeks ways to increase the role our church plays in the community and ways to create a greater interest in the church within the community.
